IAC BASEBALL: TIOGA RIDES BIG INNING TO COME-FROM-BEHIND, 15-12, WIN OVER DRYDEN (April 24, 2026)

Valley Sports Report
DRYDEN — Tioga poured nine runs across the plate in the top of the fourth inning to erase an early deficit on its way to a 15-12 win over Dryden here Friday afternoon in IAC baseball action.

The Tigers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning in a rally that featured an RBI single by Brayden Lounsbury, and RBI double by Cooper Dember, and a bases-loaded walk to Jaxon Bidwell, but Dryden rallied to take a 7-3 lead after three innings.

In the top of the fourth inning, Josh Rought double and Lounsbury singled to start the rally. After an RBI double by Anthony Powell, Dember walked to load the bases.

A walk to Max Paugh closed the gap to 7-5, and a two-RBI single by Jacob Guiles tied the game at 7-7. The Tigers took the lead on a two-run single by Cam Ross.

With two out, Rought belted an RBI triple to make it 10-7, then scored on an error. Singles by Powell and Dember re-loaded the bases, and a walk to Paugh capped the rally, and upped the Tioga lead to 12-7.

Rought's RBI double in the top of the fifth inning extended the lead to 13-7.

A sacrifice fly by Paugh and an RBI single by Guiles in the top of the sixth inning pushed the lead to 15-8.

The Purple Lions took advantage of three hit batters, two walks, and a passed ball to score four runs on just two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning to provide the final margin.

Rought was 4-for-4 with three doubles and one triple, three runs scored, two stolen bases, and two RBI, and Powell had three hits, including a double, three runs scored, two stolen bases, and one RBI to pace Tioga's 17-hit attack, while Paugh doubled and singled, scored one run, and drove in three runs, and Dember doubled and singled, scored three runs, and knocked in one run.

Lounsbury singled twice, scored two runs, and drove in one run in the win, while Guiles singled twice, scored one run, and knocked in two runs, Ross singled, scored two runs, stole two bases, and had two RBI, and Bidwell singled and knocked in one run.

Dember earned the win, allowing six runs — five earned — on five hits in 4 1/3 innings of relief. He struck out four and walked one.

Guiles earned the save, walking two and striking out one in two-thirds of an inning of relief.

Tioga, now 3-4, returns to action Monday at Groton.
