COLLEGE BASEBALL: ATHENS GRAD HORTON HAS BEST OUTING OF SEASON AT ST. JOHN FISHER (April 26, 2026)

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Athens grad Lucas Horton, a junior on the St. John Fisher baseball team, had one of his best outings of the season Friday against Russell Sage College.

Horton fanned five in 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed three hits.

Earlier this season, Horton had back-to-back outings in which he struck out six in 2 1/3 innings and five in two innings.

On the season, he is 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA. He has 21 strikeouts and five walks in 12 innings, while allowing 13 hits.

St. John Fisher, now 24-7, hosts Russell Sage College Sunday in a doubleheader.
