BLOOMSBURG — Junior Graham Wanck and sophomore Allisa Vough registered Athens' only wins, leading the Wildcat boys and girls' to fifth-place finishes here Friday at the BlueJay Classic at Central Columbia High School.

ATHENS BOYS PLACE FIFTH IN 15-TEAM FIELD

Graham Wanck won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:26.33, while junior Matt Rossettie was fifth in 4:44.26, and senior Parker Wanck was 11th in 4:52.38.

Senior Alex Thompson finished second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:01.24, while Graham Wanck was fourth in 2:03.43, and Rossettie was seventh in 2:07.77.

The foursome of Thompson, senior Ryan Cook junior Ryder Morley, and freshman Avery Gorsline placed second in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:36.44.

Cook placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.99 seconds, and Morley was sixth win 24.08 seconds.

Senior Chase Ingram placed third in the pole vault at 11-feet.

Senior Brenden Comstock placed fourth in the discus with a toss of 143-feet, 5-inches. He placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 45-feet, 9-inches.

Cook and Morley teamed Avery Gorsline and junior Brayden Westbrook teamed to finish fourth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 45.98 seconds.

Junior Lucas Persun finished eighth in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 10:36.85, and junior Alex Arcesi was ninth in 10:45.77.

Junior Zach Fisher placed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 131-feet, 6-inches.

Morley finished ninth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.77 seconds.

Ingram finish 10th in the 110-meter hurdles an a time of 17.94 seconds, and freshman Gavin Ross was 10th in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.

Freshman Shayan Ankam finished 11th in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 47.39 seconds, and freshman Iziah Bailey was 12th in the triple jump at 34-feet, 9-inches.

ATHENS GIRLS FINISH FIFTH IN 13-TEAM FIELD

Vough won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:34.33, while senior Ava Hughes was fourth in 5:44.55, and freshman Stella Unger was eighth in 6:01.93.

Vough finished fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:29.36, and Unger was 11th in 2:38.97.

Hughes finished second in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:30.41.

Senior Lizzie Gorsline finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.75 seconds. She finished seventh in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 50.96 seconds.

Senior Abby Burgess finished third in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.39 seconds.

Vough and Gorsline teamed with sophomore Marlene Roelle and freshman Bilikula Wennie to place fifth in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:26.69

Burgess placed second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.17 seconds, and sophomore Bilikula Wennie was 10th in 28.87 seconds.

Marlene Roelle placed seventh in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.29.

Senior Elizabeth Denlinger placed sixth in the pole vault at 8-feet. Denlinger finished eighth in the high at 4-feet, 4-inches, and senior Evelyn Panek was fourth at 4-feet, 4-inches.

The foursome of Burgess, Gorsline, junior Kaitlyn Leonard, and sophomore Ella Marhefka teamed to finish ninth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 54.56 seconds.

Sophomore Maleah Hadlock finished 11th in the shot put with a heave of 29-feet, 6 1/2-inches.

Athens hosts the NTL Championships Friday.
