Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — Athens and Sayre athletes will compete at Day 1 of the District 4 Track & Field Championships Thursday evening at Milton High School, while Tioga squares off with Union Springs in the IAC Small School Championship game at Watkins Glen High School.

The only action in the Valley Thursday has the Waverly girls golf team in action in the regular-season finale against Horseheads at Dry Brook Golf Course (formerly Tomasso's), and the Sayre softball team seeking its second straight win when it hosts Sugar Valley Rural Charter.

TRACK & FIELD
District 4 Championships, 4 p.m. @ Milton H.S.: Athens will compete in the Class AAA Championships, and Sayre has its athletes in the Class AA meet.

Athens senior Abby Burgess is the second seed in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Sayre junior Hudson Malanoski is the sixth seed in the shot put.
