DISTRICT 4 GIRLS TRACK & FIELD: VOUGH, PANEK POST ATTHENS' BEST FINISHES AT DAY 1 OF CLASS 3A CHAMPIONSHIPS (13 PHOTOS) (May 14, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportMILTON — Sophomore Alissa Vough and senior Evelyn Panek had the best finishes of the evening at Day 1 of the District 4, Class 3A girls track & field championships, while seniors Abby Burgess and Lizzie Gorsline advanced to the finals Saturday in their events.
Williamsport leads the team standings after Day 1 with 87 points, while Shikellamy is second with 54.5 points, and Selinsgrove is third with 46 points. Athens is in fourth place with 22.5 points.
Burgess posted the second-fastest time in the 100-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 12.68 seconds to qualify for Saturday's finals. Freshman Bilikula Wennie was 15th at 13.67 seconds.
Gorsline posted the sixth-fastest time in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.24 seconds to qualify for Saturday's finals.
Vough placed fourth in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 12:07.79, and senior Ava Hughes was fifth in 12:15.2.
Panek tied for fourth in the high jump at 4-feet, 11-inches.
Senior Elizabeth Denlinger placed fifth in the pole vault at 8-feet.
Senior Karolin Roelle, sophomore Marlene Roelle, and freshmen Eden Fedorchak and Stella Unger teamed to place sixth in sixth in a time of 10:58.54.
Sophomore Annika Lezak placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 98-feet, 6-inches.
Sophomore Maleah Hadlock finished ninth in the shot put with a heave of 29-feet, 4 3/4-inches.
Junior Kaitlyn Leonard finished 10th in the triple jump at 30-feet, 10 1/4-inches.
Day 2 action begins Saturday at 10 a.m. at Milton High School.
