SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: WAVERLY’S TWEDT EARNS TOP-5 TRIO AT FAST TIMES INVITE (May 15, 2026)

CORNING — Kaylin Twedt placed in the top five in three events to lead the Waverly effort at the Fast Times Track & Field Invitational here Friday.

The senior sprinter finished second in the 400-meter run with a personal record of 59.59 seconds. She was also third in the 200 in 26.84 seconds and fifth in the 100, clocking 13.23 seconds.

Placing fourth for the girls were Kezlynn DeKay in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.27 seconds and Haley Larrabee in the 400 hurdles with a PR of 1:13.08.

Other top 10 finishers were DeKay, sixth in the 200 with a PR of 27.89 seconds; Brynna Twedt with a PR of seven feet in the pole vault, and Kendall Rockwell, 10th in the shot put with a heave of 25-3 ¼.

Rockwell added a 14th-place toss of 71-4 in the discus, Miah Correll took 15th in the 800 with a PR of 2:49.05 and Larrabee was 15th in the 200 in 29.22 seconds.

There were three 16th-place efforts as Leraya Teeter landed a throw of 68-7 in the discus and a PR of 24-3 in the shot put, and Mackenzie Chamberlain ran a PR of 5:28.64 in the 1500.

The girls team placed eighth out of 21 scoring teams with 32.5 points.

In the boys meet, Troy Beeman and Rhylee Stotler were the Wolverines’ top performers, each garnering a fifth-place showing.

Beeman tossed the discus 127-9 and Stotler cleared 11-6 in the pole vault.

Jaxon Chandler contributed a sixth-place effort in the high jump with a PR of 5-8.

Waverly placed eighth in two relays. The 4x100 quartet of Maddex Presher, Stotler, Drayton DeKay and Braiden Judson registered a time of 46.58 seconds and the 4x800 foursome of Chase Hine, Hayden Montanye, Garrett Akins and James Cole clocked 9:29.15.

Presher was 12th in the high jump with a PR of 5-6, Cole was 13th in the 800 with a PR of 1:05.47, Judson was 14th in the 400 hurdles in 1:05.47, and Hine came in 18th in the 1600 with a PT of 4:41.08.

The boys took 15th ina field of 22 scoring teams with 11 ½ points.
