THE VALLEY — Waverly begins its Section IV, Class A championship series at home against Maine-Endwell this afternoon, while the Tioga softball team is on the road in the Class C quarterfinals to headline Tuesday's postseason action.

BASEBALL
Section IV, Class A 
Championship (Best of 3)
Game One
2-Maine-Endwell (12-9) at Waverly (19-3), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines, ranked fourth in the state in Class A, will host the Spartans, ranked 15th, in the first of their three-game set with a berth to the state championship on the line.

SOFTBALL
Section IV Playoffs
Class C Quarterfinals
5-Tioga (12-6) at 4-Moravia (10-6), 5 p.m.: The Tigers, ranked 21st in the state in Class C, hit the road for Moravia, after beating 12th-seed Oxford, 12-5, in the opening round.

Tioga swept the season series, winning the season-opener, 15-5, at home, then winning 8-5 at Moravia a month later.

IAC Championships at Soaring Eagles, 9 a.m.: The Tioga boys are in action.
