VALLEY SPORTS REPORT: TIOGA'S ROSSI, ALBRECHT, WAVERLY'S STOTLER NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (May 28, 2026)

THE VALLEY — Tioga sophomore Vida Rossi won three gold medals, and Tioga senior Gavin Albrecht, and Waverly junior Rhylee Stotler each won one title at their league track & field championships. They are the VSR / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week" for the week ending May 23.

TIOGA'S ROSSI NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Rossi won two individual gold medals on Day 1 of the IAC Championships, winning the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.61 seconds, and the long jump with a leap of 17-feet, 1- 3/4-inches.

On Day 2, Rossi ran the anchor leg in Tioga's 400-meter relay gold medal effort.

Honorable Mentions: Waverly's Sophia Sileo (golf), Waverly's Brilynn Belles (flag football), Waverly's Mira Kittle (flag football), Waverly's Avalynn Boots (flag football), Waverly's Kaylin Twedt (track & field), Tioga's Kate Kithcart (softball), Tioga's Maddie Rogers (softball), and Tioga's Olivia Shugars (softball).

TIOGA'S ALBRECHT, WAVERLY'S STOTLER NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Albrecht won the pole vault at the IAC Championships, clearing the bar at 13-feet, 6-inches.

Albrecht also finished second in the long jump at 18-feet, 5 1/4-inches, and second in the 100-meter dash in 11.77 seconds.

Stotler won the pole vault at the STAC Championships, clearing the bar at 12-feet, 6-inches.
