NEW YORK STATE TRACK & FIELD: TIOGA'S ALBRECHT TOP SEED, ROSSI COMPETING IN TWO EVENTS (June 13, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportWEBSTER, N.Y. — Reigning state champion, senior Gavin Albrecht, and sophomore Vida Rossi, the only Valley athlete to qualify in two events, will compete this weekend here at the New York State Class C Track & Field Championships.
Albrecht is the top seed in the pole vault at 15-feet, 1-inch. Rensselaer's George Krause is the second seed at 14-feet, 6-inches.
The pole vault is slated for 10 a.m. Sunday.
Rossi is the seventh seed in the 100-meter dash with a seed time of 12.31 seconds. St. Ann's Mia Nelson is the top seed at 12.01 seconds.
The 100-meter dash prelims are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, with the finals slated for 1:25 p.m. Sunday.
Rossi is the 10th seed in the long jump with a seed mark of 17-feet, 9-inches. Schuylerville's Meaghan Lynch is the top seed at 20-feet, 3-inches.
The long jump is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The opening ceremonies are slated to begin at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, with action on the track and field set to start at 10 a.m.
