Athens will now square off with Canton in the consolation bracket finals Sunday afternoon at Southern Tioga.
Gracie Vanderpool tossed a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and three walks in the win.
Roselina Meyers and Addisyn Johnston each singled to account for Athens' two hits.
Breah Wilcox allowed three earned runs on five hits in five innings in the circle. She fanned 14 and walked none.
