DISTRICT 6 LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): WAVERLY FALLS TO CORNING-PAINTED POST IN POOL PLAY(June 26, 2026) Valley Sports Report WAVERLY — Corning-Painted Post built a big lead early, then closed out the game with a huge fifth-inning rally in a 21-0 win over Waverly here Friday evening in pool play in the District 6 Little League Baseball Majors Division playoffs.
C-PP scored five runs in the top of the second, and three more in the third inning to take an 8-0 lead, then poured 13 runs across the plate in the fifth inning.
Beau Bauman doubled, and Brody Payne and Jackson Mosier each singled to account for Waverly's three hits.
Waverly, now 0-3 in pool play, travels to Elmira / Elmira Heights Monday.
