DISTRICT 15 LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): TROY RIDES BIG INNING TO WIN OVER SAYRE IN OPENING ROUND OF BRACKET PLAY (June 26, 2026)

TROY — Troy scored 17 runs in the second inning on its way to an 18-1 win over Sayre here Friday evening in the opening game of bracket play in the District 15 Majors Division baseball playoffs.

Sayre scored in the top of the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead, but Troy answered with a run in the home half of the inning before blowing the game wide open in the second inning.

Attilio Agnellino belted a solo home run for Sayre's only run, while Razier VanHousen, Connor Kmetz, Wesley Szollosy, and Brendan Gilson each singled to account for Sayre's four hits.

Sayre now hosts Canton Sunday afternoon in the opening round of the consolation bracket.
