DISTRICT 15 LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): ATHENS RALLIES PAST CANTON, AND INTO CONSOLATION BRACKET FINALS (24 PHOTOS) (July 6, 2026)

ATHENS — Canton scored first, but Athens roared back for an 11-3 win here on a rainy Monday evening in District 15 Little League Baseball Majors Division consolation bracket semifinals.

Athens, which lost to Southern Tioga in the opening round of bracket play, has won three straight in the consolation bracket and will face Towanda in the finals, with the winner playing Wellsboro at Athens Friday in the championship game.

Canton scored three runs in the top of the second inning, but Athens answered with three runs in the home half of the inning without the benefit of a hit to tie the game.

Leo Loziere's two-RBI triple in the bottom of the third gave Athens a 6-3 lead, and Athens added one run in the fourth, and four more runs in the fifth inning.

Beau Hall doubled, scored one run, and drove in two runs, and Loziere tripled and had two RBI, while Landon Briggs doubled and drove in one run, and Wyatt Raupers doubled and scored one run to account for Athens' four hits.

Athens benefitted from 15 base on balls in the win.

Bentley Stephens scored three runs for Athens, while Connor Robinson and Easton Hubbard each scored two runs, Lincoln Miller scored one run and had one RBI, an Klase Bardo crossed the plate once.

Stephens started on the mound, allowing three runs on three hits, while striking ut four and walking one in 1 2/3 innings.

Hubbard earned the win, striking out three, walking two and allowing one hit in 2 1/3 innings scoreless relief.

Robinson fanned six and walked one in two hitless innings of relief to close out the game for Athens.
