PIAA BASEBALL: ATHENS' FLYNN EARNS CLASS 4A SECOND-TEAM ALL-STATE HONORS (July 23, 2026)

ATHENS — Athens junior Brady Flynn posted his second straight outstanding season and was recently named a PIAA, Class 4A second-team all-state selection.

"Brady consistently puts up numbers offensively," said Athens coach Charlie Havens.

He’s also an excellent defender, primarily at first base, but it’s on defense where he shows he’s the ultimate team player," noted Havens. "He gets behind the plate when needed, has also played the outfield and third base. He does what is necessary to help the Wildcats win. 

"Making all-state has been especially important to his family," added Havens. "Brady and his sister Meghan have both received the honor, and that bond is an extremely proud moment for them and their parents Jessica and Sean."

Flynn hit .478 with (31 hits in 67 ABs) with five doubles, one triple, 13 RBI, six stolen bases, and 24 runs scored. He walked 12 times for a for a .560 on-base percentage, and had a 1.142 OPS.

On the mound, Flynn was 5-2 with a 3.41 ERA. He struck out 18 and walked 21 in 26 2/3 innings of work.
