YOUTH SOFTBALL: EYOTA FASTPITCH 2011 WINS NATIONAL TITLE; TIOGA’S KITHCART NAMED MVP (August 2, 2026)

WINDSOR, Conn. — Tioga pitcher Kate Kithcart was named the MVP and the Tigers’ Bri Lounsbury starred at the plate as Eyota Fastpitch 2011 captured the 14U Class B division at the 6th annual PlayFPN Summer Nationals this past week, going 5-0 in a field of 14 teams.
Eyota defeated Lady Dukes Elite out of Mahopac, NY, by a 9-1 score in the championship game, adding to a 4-0 shutout of the Dukes in pool play.
The team’s other three games were lopsided affairs with Eyota downing SM Monarchs and LI Thunder by 11-1 verdicts, and CT Bombers Black, 10-1.
Kithcart went 4-0 in the circle over 17 innings with 7 strikeouts while allowing just 2 earned runs. She scattered 16 hits and walked 2.
Lounsbury led the team at the plate, hitting .667 (8-for-12) with team highs in hits (8) & runs (8). She also collected a team-best 7 stolen bases.
Reece Vimislik (Vestal) was 1-0 in the circle with 6 Ks, 3 walks, 1 hit and 1 earned run on her 5-inning stat sheet.
Emma Rondeau (Maine-Endwell) added 7 runs. She hit .636 (7-for-11) with 3 RBI.
Macy Goodspeed (Vestal) batted .600 (6-for-10) with 6 runs and a team-high 6 RBI while Julianna Serfass (Owego) hit .444 (4-for-9) with 4 runs and a team-high 6 RBI.
Berkley Ingram (Windsor) hit .625 (5-for-8) with 6 runs and 5 RBI, and Emersynn Wilson (McGraw) hit .333 (3-for-9) with 4 runs and 5 RBI.
Emily Sipe (Owego) was 3-for-4 (.750) in 4 games with 4 RBI, and Vimislik went 3-for-7 (.429).
Also contributing to the title run were Owego’s Eva Crawford, Braelea McLaren & Elise Silvanic.
As a team, Eyota batted .441 (45-for-102) with 45 hits and 42 RBI. All 12 players contributed at least one hit in the tournament; 11 players scored at least 1 run and 11 players had at least 1 RBI.
Defensively, Eyota committed just four errors.
