YOUTH VOLLEYBALL: NORTHERN TIER VOLLEYBALL CLUB SELECT TEAMS CLAIM OFFSEASON GOLD (4 PHOTOS) (August 8, 2026)

ATHENS — The Norther Tier Volleyball Club, based in Athens, saw both of its select teams win at least one title during the offseason.

The 18U Select team, coached by Abby Dietrick and Hailey Williams, placed fourth or better in all seven of its tournaments, including a trio of first-place finishes — at the TiCann Invitation in Tioga Center, the KODA Shamrock in Munnsville, and Whirlwind Winter Chill in Windsor. The 18U Select won the tournaments and Munsville and Windsor without losing a match.

The 18U Select roster consists of Elli Mosher, Hannah Parrish, Lainey Vosburgh, and Meg Wiles of Athens, and Aryana Andrus, Alli Bailey, Brenna Jackson, Alexa Lawrence, Peyton Miller, and Bella Wood of Troy.

The 18U team, coached by Josh Lundy and Wendy Wyatt, recorded second-place finishes at the Capitol City Freeze in Manheim, Pa. and WEVA Dig Fest in Brockport, N.Y.

The 18U roster consists of Emma Mallare of Athens, Alex Schack of Sayre, Kendall Kellogg and Brynsen Vargason of Towanda, Mya Chamberlain, Brilynn Belles, Savannah Dorsey, Addison Hunt, and Adriana Presher of Waverly, and Madalyn Broschart of Wyalusing,

The 16U Select team, coached by Heather Darrow and Tom Shay, registered several playoff appearances, and won the Vineyard Views Classic in Penn Yan.

The 16U Select roster consists of Kayla Forbes, Emi McQuay, Lilli Miller and Evelyn Roy of Athens, and Sarah Caudill, Elliana Gundersen, Liana Lyon, Evelynn Schonher and Nya Watson of Troy.

The 16U team, coached by Stephanie Dougherty and Rachel Jackson, registered several playoff appearances, including a second-place finish at Bomber Irish Rumble at Ithaca College.

The Northern Tier Volleyball Club Board of Directors consists of Kate Smith, Heidi Wiles, Charity Field and Morgan Lynch.
