NTL GIRLS GOLF: CARLSON, LYON FINISH 1-2 TO LEAD ATHENS TO WIN AT LEAGUE MATCH (5 PHOTOS) (August 17, 2026)

WELLSBORO — Freshman Lilah Carlson and freshman Brooke Lyon finished 1-2 individually to lead Athens to a first-place finish here Monday afternoon at Tyoga Golf Course in the first-ever NTL girls golf match with more than two teams.

Carlson fired a 77, including a birdie on the par-5 14th hole, and Lyon shot a 90, while Annie Davis carded a 121, including a 53 on the back nine. Hailey Smith tacked on a non-scoring round of 165.

Athens shot a three-player aggregate score of 288 to edge out Towanda, which carded a 216.

Olivia Heath led the Knights with a 94, while Rosie Glantz and Payton Perry each shot 101.

Brooklyn Roberts paced Sayre, which shot a 398 to finish fourth, with a round of 115. Madelyn Roberts carded a 139 and Paige Secrist tacked on a 144.

Last year, only Towanda and Wyalusing fielded teams.

NTL golfers return to action Wednesday at the Towanda Country Club.
