Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Senior Ronin Ault led Waverly to its first Section IV Class A championships and its first-ever state playoff win, and was recognized by the New York State Sportswriters Association as a third-team Class A all-state selection.
"I couldn’t be more proud of Ronin and all he accomplished and was recognized for this year," said longtime Waverly baseball coach Kyle McDuffee. "He earned every bit of state recognition, and seeing his hard work pay off has been incredibly rewarding.
"While I’m grateful for the recognition he received, I truly believe his performance, consistency, and leadership were deserving of first team All-State honors as well.
"Regardless of the level of recognition, I couldn’t be prouder of the player, teammate, and leader he has become," added McDuffee.
On the mound in 2026, Ault was 9-0 with one save, and a 0.96 ERA.
