NTL GIRLS GOLF: LYON LEADS ATHENS TO SECOND FIRST-PLACE FINISH IN A ROW; SAYRE NOTCHES FIRST WIN (9 PHOTOS) (August 19, 2026)

WYSOX — Junior Brooke Lyon earned low-medal honors to lead Athens to another first-place finish in the second NTL girls match of the season here Wednesday at the Towanda Country Club, while Sayre earned its first win in program history.

Lyon shot a 42 on the front nine and a 44 on the back for a round of 86 on the par-71 course.

Freshman Lilah Carlson shot matching 45s for a round of 90, which placed her third individually on the day, and Annie Davis carded a 124 for the Wildcats.

Athens carded a three-player aggregate score of 300 to go 3-0 on the day, while Towanda shot a 311, Sayre had a 393, and Wyalusing amassed 421 strokes.

Paige Secrist led Sayre with a 129, while Brooklyn Roberts shot a 130, and Madelyn Roberts carded a 134.

Olivia Heath was second on the day with a round of 87 to pace Towanda, and Riley O'Connor led Wyalusing with a 131.

NTL golfers return to action Wednesday at The Club at Shepard Hills in Waverly.
