COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY: TIOGA GRAD ENGELBERT SCORES TWO GOALS IN COLLEGIATE DEBUT (September 3, 2026)

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Tioga grad Abbie Engelbert, a freshman on the UMass-Dartmouth field hockey team, scored two goals in her first collegiate contest to help UM-D to an 8-0 win over Elms College Tuesday evening.

Engelbert, who earned the start in the midfield, scored early in the third quarter to give the Corsairs a 5-0 lead, then scored with 2 1/2 minutes remaining to cap the scoring.

Engelbert fired off 14 shots in 43 minutes of action in her first collegiate game, with 13 being on-goal. UM-D had a 47-1 advantage in shots.

UMass-Dartmouth returns to action Saturday afternoon when it hosts Clark University.
