NTL VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS BOUNCES BACK WITH 3-1 WIN OVER CANTON (September 8, 2026)

CANTON — Athens bounced back from a tough five-set loss to North Penn-Liberty with a 3-1 win over Canton here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Wildcats, now 2-1, won the first set 25-14, and pulled out the second set, 25-22.

The Warriors rallied to win the third set, 25-14, but Athens answered in the fourth set with a 25-13 win to close out the match.

Junior Kendall Galasso led Athens with 16 service points, including two aces, six kills, and four digs, while junior Lainey Vosburgh had 13 points, including four aces, and 13 digs, and senior Meg Wiles had 11 points, 30 setter assists, two digs.

Sophomore Kayla Forbes had nine points (two aces) and 23 digs, while junior Ellie Mosher registered four points, 13 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks, senior Hannah Parrish had four points, eight digs, and two kills.

Sophomore Emi McQuay added eight kills and one block, and freshman Evelyn Roy chipped in with three kills.

Athens returns to action Thursday when it hosts Towanda.
