NTL GIRLS SOCCER: SENIOR TRIO PACES ATHENS IN 14-3 ROUT OF WILLIAMSON (24 PHOTOS) (September 9, 2026)

ATHENS — Seniors Brinley Nichols, Delanie Patton, and McKenna Jarvis combined for nine goals to lead Athens in a 14-3 win over Williamson here Wednesday evening in NTL girls soccer action.

"I was happy to finally find the back of the net," said Athens coach Rich Pitts, whose team scored just one goal in its first two games.  "We were able to put together some great passing to get us in the final third and finish chances.  

"In the first two games, we were unable to finish, but tonight it all fell into place for us," he noted. "We went deep into the bench with the JV team playing the majority of the second half.

"I'm happy for Brin (Nichols), Delanie (Patton) and Kenna (Jarvis), who each had multiple goals and assists," added Pitts. "And for Everleigh (Waring) and Hailey (Brinkley) who each scored their first career varsity goal."

Nichols scored four goals and dished out two assists, while senior Delanie Patton scored three goals and doled out three assists, and senior McKenna Jarvis scored two goals and had one assist.

Sophomore Bilie Wennie scored two goals for the Wildcats, while freshman Everleigh Waring scored one goal and had had two assists, junior Haylie Brinkley scored one goal and had one assist, sophomore Alexis Mayo scored one goal, and junior Allie Kemp recorded one assist.

Athens had a 29-6 advantage in shots-on-goal.

Sophomore Anika Lezak recorded three saves in net for the Wildcats.

Athens, now 2-1, returns to action Saturday at Towanda.
