WATKINS GLEN — Tioga opened the 2026 season with a convincing sweep of Watkins Glen here Wednesday night in IAC volleyball action.

The Tigers won by scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-20.

Irie Lynch led Tioga with eight service points, eight setter assists, eight digs, and three blocks, while Jade Keaty had seven points and a team-high 10 digs, and Kaylynne Miller had six points (three aces), four digs, and one block.

Vida Rossi registered five kills and one block in the win, while Kate Kithcart had four points (three aces) and three digs, and Courtney Smith had three points (two aces), three kills, two assists, and six digs.

Vanessa Tunnicliff added two points (two aces), two kills, and three blocks in the win, and Brianna Lounsbury chipped in with two points and two digs.

Tioga returns to action Friday when it hosts Dryden.

JV: Tioga swept Watkins Glen by scores of 25-3 and 25-21. The Senecas won the (exhibition) third set, 25-21.

Mya Freese led Tioga with seven points, including six aces, two kills, one block, and two digs, while Maddy Rogers had four points (three aces), and Lainey Platukis added two points (two aces), five setter assists, one block, and two digs.

Lizzie Sick had three points, three kills, and two digs in the, while Sophia Bozzo registered three kills and four blocks, McKenzie Rogers had three points (three aces), and Kendra Hale chipped in with two kills and one block.
