THE VALLEY — The fall sports season hits maximum overdrive with the busiest week of the young season on tap for Valley teams.

There are 37 events on this week's docket, including 12 Tuesday, and seven on Thursday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (4)
•  Athens hosts Canton and Cowanesque Valley in NTL golf action at Shepard Hills.

•  Waverly hosts STAC boys soccer power Oneonta.

TUESDAY (12)
•  Athens hosts crosstown rival Sayre on the NTL volleyball hardwoods.

•  Waverly girls swim hosts Windsor.

•  The Athens boys host North Penn-Liberty on the pitch at Alumni Stadium.

•  Waverly hosts Norwich under the light in a STAC girls soccer match.

•  Tioga hosts IAC North girls soccer foe Dryden under the lights at Haggerty Field.

•  Waverly volleyball hosts Johnson City.

•  Athens hosts Wyalusing in an NTL cross-country meet.

•  Waverly boys golf hosts Susquehanna Valley at Shepard Hills.

WEDNESDAY (4)
•  Waverly girls tennis hosts Windsor.

THURSDAY (7)
•  Tioga volleyball hosts Thomas A. Edison.

•  Athens and Sayre host Towanda and Wyalusing in NTL golf action at Shepard Hills.

•  Tioga field hockey hosts Vestal.

•  Tioga hosts O-M in an IAC Small School girls soccer match-up.

FRIDAY (5)
•  Waverly hosts Tioga County rival Owego on the gridiron at Memorial Stadium.

•  Athens football is on the road at South Williamsport.

•  Sayre travels to North Penn-Mansfield with both teams in search of their first football win.

•  Waverly hosts Windsor in a STAC boys soccer contest on the turf field behind the high school.

SATURDAY (5)
•  Tioga football seeks their first win of 2026 when its hosts Sidney under the lights.

•  Sayre hosts Galeton in non-league volleyball action.
