STAC CROSS COUNTRY: HINE LEADS WAVERLY TO THIRD-PLACE FINISH IN SMALL SCHOOL RACE AT STOCK-CONWICKE INVITE (September 20, 2026)

ENDICOTT — Senior Chase Hine posted a top-20 finish to lead Waverly to a third-place finish in the Small School boys race here Saturday morning at the Stock-Conwicke Cross-Country Invite held on the U-E course.

Chenango Valley won the Small School team title with 43 placement points, while Owego was second with 51, and Waverly was third with 66.

Hine, who placed second among Small School runners, finished 17th overall in a field of 108 runner in a time of 17:56, while junior Drayton DeKay (10th in Small School race) was 49th overall in 19:46, and junior Hayden Montanye (15th in Small School) was 65th in a time of 20:26.

Sophomore Colten Santalucia (19th in Small School) was 77th overall in 21:18, while junior Garrett Akins (20th in Small School) was 78th overall in 21:28, senior Parker Larson (23rd in Small) was 95th in 23:03, and sophomore Jack Shaw (24th in Small School) was 96th overall in 23:12.

GIRLS
Waverly had just two runners competing in the girls varsity race, with junior Miah Correll finishing 65th in a field of 118 runners in a time of 26:12, and senior Taylor Sinsabaugh 70th in 26:44.

JUNIOR HIGH
Girls
Avery Hine ran to a 13th-place finish (in a field of 66) in a time of 13:18 to pace Waverly in the modified girls race, while Pepper Mosier was 32nd in 15:10, and Shawna Grangers (15:26) and Braelynn Smith (15:26.2) finished 34th and 35th, respectively.

Assalynn Thomas was 41st in 16:08, and Isabella Palanza was 61st in 19:38.

Boys
Joseph Dorsey paced the Waverly modified boys with a 39th-place finish in a time of 12:41.

Parker Bruno finished 71st (in a field of 123) in 14:00, while Skyler Decker was 109th in 17:22, Wyatt Sinsabaugh was 113th in 17:42, and Marshall Williamson was 118th in 18:00.
