Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — A rare Thursday night football game at Alumni Stadium headlines a busy Thursday slate that also features the first postseason event — the NTL Golf Championships — of the fall season, as well as volleyball matches at Sayre and Athens, a boys golf match at Shepard Hills, and a field hockey game at Haggerty Field.

FOOTBALL
Towanda (2-2) at Athens (3-1), 7 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a hard-fought, 17-7, win over South Williamsport, while the banged-up Black Knights dropped a 32-9 decision at Muncy.

Senior Connor Davidson continues to shine on both sides of the ball, but he's getting help offensively in the ground game from senior Brendan Cooke, and a good group of receivers led by senior Gage Marmor and junior Kade Rowe.

Defensively, Cooke, Brady Flynn, and Dom Robbins have been major contributors to a Wildcat unit that is allowing just 12.8 points per game.
