Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — "Football Friday" features home games for Waverly and Tioga, while three of the Valley's four cross country programs will be in action at the "Night Invite" at Owego Free Academy.

FOOTBALL
Horseheads at Waverly, 7 p.m. @ Memorial Stadium:  The Wolverines are coming off a 35-34 loss to Owego, while the Blue Raiders topped U-E, 21-15.

Waverly is banged-up defensively with senior inside linebacker Ben Shaw and Justin Koenig both missing last week's game, and questionable for tonight.

Horseheads has a dynamic tailback in Bryce Thomas, and a good QB in Lynkoln Bennett.

Trumansburg at Tioga, 7 p.m. @ Haggerty Field: The Tigers put up their first W for first-year coach Jake Howland last week, a 35-8 win over Sidney, while the Blue Raiders also earned their first win, beating BGAH, 42-22.

This is a rematch of last year's Section IV, Class D championship game won by Tioga, 44-28, on the way to the program's fifth state title.

GIRLS SOCCER
O-M at Tioga, 4:30 p.m.

Tioga at Groton, 7 p.m.
