STAC VOLLEYBALL: WAVERLY TOPS SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, 3-1 (September 29, 2026)

CONKLIN, N.Y. — Waverly shook off a second-set loss and then pulled out a hard-fought win in the fourth set to finish off a 3-1 win over Susquehanna Valley here Tuesday night in STAC volleyball action.

The Wolverines won the opening set 25-18, but the Sabers evened the match with a 25-20 win. Waverly finished off the match with wins of 25-15 and 25-23.

Meeya Wheeler led waverly 27 setter assists, and 11 digs, while Ava Heath had six kills, seven digs, and two aces, Layla Oechslin recorded nine digs, and Kendall Galasso registered seven kills and one block.

Elli Cole had 19 digs and two aces in the win, while Lauryn Welles had four kills, one block, and three digs, and Addison Foster had five kills and one block.

Emma Richards-Randall had five kills and three digs for the Wolverines, while Leraya Teeter added two kills, three digs, and one block, and Natasha Lance chipped in with two aces.

Waverly, now 6-3, returns to action Friday when it hosts Windsor.
