IAC BOYS SOCCER: WILSON, VAN DUSEN SHINE IN TIOGA'S 4-0 WIN OVER NEWARK VALLEY (September 29, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — Collin Wilson netted his first career hat trick and David Van Dusen recorded a "clean sheet" for the first time in a 4-0 win over Newark Valley here Tuesday night in IAC boys soccer action.

"It's a great win for the boys," said Tioga coach Donnie van Dusen. "I think that was the best tactical game we played all season. I saw some great runs and some beautiful through- balls. 

"The boys were pumped before the game, and it was just great to see them put it all together," he noted. "I'm very happy for the boys. The communication was there a good majority of the game, which is what we have been talking about all season.

"Colin Wilson got his first hat trick and David Van Dusen notched his first career shutout ..... I'm so happy for them as well," added Va Dusen. "Great team win and much needed to build the boys confidence.'

Drayke Ulrich put Tioga on the board with 27:45 remaining in the first half, and Wilson scored 12 minutes later to make it 2-0, which is where it stood at the halftime intermission.

Wilson added a pair of second-half goals to provide the final margin.

Newark Valley outshot Tioga, 16-15, while the Tigers had a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Van Dusen recorded 14 saves in net for the Tigers.

Tioga, now 2-7, returns to action Monday when it hosts O-M.
