(MONDAY) IAC BOYS SOCCER: O-M RIDES FAST START IN 8-3 WIN OVER TIOGA (October 6, 2026)

Valley Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER — Division power Odessa-Montour raced out to a 5-1 halftime lead on its way to an 8-3 win over Tioga here Monday night in IAC boys soccer action at Haggerty Field.

With the win, O-M clinches its third straight IAC South Small School Division title.

"The game started very well for us," said Tioga coach Donny Van Dusen. "We had great passing in spurts throughout the game, we just had a 10- to 15-minute block where we let down and against a great team like Odessa-Montour you can't do that.

"The second half was a bit cleaner, as far as that went and that was the halftime speech," noted Van Dusen. "I think the boys responded well in that aspect.

"That 10 to 15 minutes in the first half is what caught us in this game.

"Hats off to Odessa-Montour, they were able to take advantage of the down play," he added. "Moving forward, we have to be a little better there."

Collin Wilson scored Tioga's first-half goal, and Kyler Roberts scored twice in the second half, including on a penalty kick in the opening minute after the intermission.

Ethan Nolan and Moe Zinger scored two goals apiece for the Grizzlies, while Emmerich Koehler, Ethan Dupay, Perry Navestad and Aaron Sutton had one each. Max Sgrecci had three assists, and Lucas McCoy Thompson registered one.

O-M had a 29-9 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

David Van Dusen recorded 16 saves in net for the Tigers, and Jed Decker registered five.

Tioga, now 2-8, returns to action Thursday at Newfield.
