THE VALLEY — The best female wrestlers in New York State converge on the MVP Arena in Albany today for the New York State Girls Wrestling Championships, while it's Day 2 of the District 4 Swimm Championships at Williamsport High School.

GIRLS WRESTLING
New York State Championships, 9:30 a.m. @ MVP Arena, Albany: Tioga junior Amelia Toomey and sophomore Kyah Nelson, along with Waverly senior Emma Vanderhoof and freshman Gianna Rylott will compete for state medals.

BOYS & GIRLS SWIMMING
District 4, Class AA Championships, 5:30 p.m. @ Williamsport H.S.: Juniors Eli Hicks and Brayden Pettitt, who each had a pair of second-place finishes on Day 1, will lead the Athens boys into action on Day 2, while senior Evelyn Panek, who had two third-place finishes on Day 1, leads the Lady Wildcats.
