THE VALLEY — The Section IV, Division 2 wrestling qualifiers, one of which is at Tioga, headline Saturday’s schedule of events that also includes afternoon home boys basketball games at Waverly, and Sayre.

WRESTLING
Section IV Qualifier A at Tioga, 10 a.m.: Tioga hosts a Section IV qualifier that also includes Norwich, Unatego-Unadilla Valley, BGAH, Marathon, Dryden, Deposit-Hancock, Moravia, Newark Valley, Susquehanna Valley, Chenango Valley, and Owego.

Section IV Qualifier B at Greene, 10 a.m.: Waverly will be at Qualifier B with SVEC, Whitney Point, Maine-Endwell, Lansing, Schuyler, Oneonta, Oxford-Greene, Sidney, Thomas A. Edison, Walton-Delhi, and Windsor.

The top five from each weight class will advance to next week’s Section IV, Division 2 Championships.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Chenango Forks (7-9 overall, 2-8 STAC Central) at Waverly (11-3, 7-2), noon JV start: The Wolverines are coming off a 56-47 win over Oneonta Wednesday, while the Blue Devils dropped a 71-60 decision to Susquehanna Valley.

Earlier this season, Waverly won at Chenango Forks, 67-54.

Wyalusing (2-16) at Sayre (9-10), noon JV start: The Redskins are coming off a 51-40 win over North Penn-Liberty Thursday, while the Rams lost their sixth straight game — a 55-44 decision at Towanda.
